James Rawson

James Rawson (b. 1981, Yorkshire) is a British painter whose layered, allegorical compositions explore mythology, masculinity and the body. Trained at the Royal Academy Schools, his work fuses figurative painting with collage-like dreamscapes, frequently referencing classical motifs and contemporary anxieties in equal measure. He has shown across the UK and Europe, including with the Royal Society of British Artists, and is represented in private collections internationally.
