Jerry Hall is photographed in a diving pose atop a USSR plinth inscribed "Jerry Hall, Vogue magazine in the USSR, 1975" for a British Vogue magazine shoot. The model wears a bright red swimsuit by Martil Cote D’Azur with a matching swimcap from Harrods and sandals by Manolo Blahnik.
About the Artist
Sir Norman Parkinson (1913–1990) was a British portrait and fashion photographer whose four-decade career transformed the aesthetic of 20th-century magazine work. Shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town & Country, he took models out of the studio into landscapes, streets and factories — humanising fashion photography and paving the way for the modern editorial image.
