Mason’s *Storm Flyer Liar* channels contemporary image-making through a charged interplay of gesture, surface, and narrative ambiguity. Working with a materially assertive technique—layering mark-making with atmospheric veils and sharpened graphic interruptions—the artist builds a visual field that oscillates between propulsion and doubt, speed and distortion. The title reads like a fractured refrain, positioning the work within today’s culture of accelerated information, myth-making, and mistrust, where the “flyer” becomes both messenger and misdirection. Mason’s approach fuses painterly energy with a quasi-cinematic sense of motion, inviting close viewing of texture and edge. At once visceral and conceptually tuned, the piece resonates with current conversations around perception, media, and truth.
