David Bowie is photographed with a pool cue during a shoot in London for Town & Country magazine in 1982. At the time, Bowie was in the process of recording his 15th studio Let's Dance.
About the Artist
Sir Norman Parkinson (1913–1990) was a British portrait and fashion photographer whose four-decade career transformed the aesthetic of 20th-century magazine work. Shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Town & Country, he took models out of the studio into landscapes, streets and factories — humanising fashion photography and paving the way for the modern editorial image.
